This fine and impressive gemstone brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow and white gold. This vintage brooch has been modelled in the form of two stylised birds perched on a closed umbrella. The body of each bird is ornamented with an oval cabochon cut chrysoprase. The yellow gold simplified wirework style heads incorporate eyes represented by claw set round faceted rubies, with a combined carat weight of 0.07cts. The heads are further embellished with scalloped white gold wirework designs accented with six claw set eight-cut diamonds. Each bird is embellished with tapering wings and tails, accented with concertina detailing. The tapering baluster style umbrella features white gold accents to the curved handle and tip. A fine and impressive 1.28 carat diamond, pearl and garnet, 15 karat yellow gold brooch in the form of a hornet; part of our antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This impressive antique pearl brooch has been crafted in 15k yellow gold in the form of a hornet. Two of the hornet's wings are ornamented with elongated dutch cut diamonds. The head and thorax are also ornamented with round dutch cut diamonds. The head of this fine brooch is also embellished with two cabochon cut garnet eyes. Completing the hornet is a baroque pearl abdomen, two realistically decorated wings and six realistically modelled legs. This piece of antique jewelry secures to the reverse with a hallmarked hinged pin and hook fastening. The 15k fineness mark (15k) is struck to the reverse of the hinged pin and hook fastening. An impressive 0.02 carat ruby and 0.07 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold and 18 carat white gold set brooch in the form of a poodle; part of our diverse vintage jewelry collections.
