Art Deco 1920s 18K Gold and Platinum Onyx and Diamond Arrow Brooch
About the Item
An Art Deco onyx and diamond brooch in gold and platinum, comprising of one teardrop shaped onyx cabochon and thirty-eight rose cut diamonds, set in platinum, atop 18 karat gold.
This striking gold and platinum brooch is set with one teardrop shaped onyx cabochon, which is bezel set in platinum. The onyx is set to the centre of the fan-shaped fletching (feathered) portion of the arrow. The fletching is adorned with 25 rose cut diamonds, which are surrounded by millegrain detailing. The head of the arrow is set with a further 13 rose cut diamonds, concluding in an elongated point. The hinge pin is crafted from 18 karat gold and is safely fasted with a trombone clasp. The brooch is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The brooch measures 20mm high, 53mm wide and 12mm deep (including pin).
