Rare 1624 vellum covered Ecclesiastical Annals by Cesare Baronio
Located in Palm Springs, CA
A rare and unusual find is this five volumes from 1624 of Cesare Baronio's masterpiece history of the Catholic Church titled Ecclesiastical Annales from the time of Christ to 1198. The full set of 12 volumes is only to be found in museums, and rare book collections. From what research I have found some people have one or two of the books. Here are 5 volumes, the first which is called Primus, 5,6,7 and 11.

A brief biography of this remarkable man follows from wikipedia;
Cesare Baronio (also known as Caesar Baronius; August 30, 1538 – June 30, 1607) was an Italian Cardinal and ecclesiastical historian. His best known work are his Annales Ecclesiastici ("Ecclesiastical Annals"), which appears in twelve folio volumes (1588–1607).
Cardinal Baronius left a reputation for profound sanctity which led Pope Benedict XIV to proclaim him "Venerable" (January 12, 1745). In 2007, on the 400th anniversary of his death, the cause for his canonization, which had been stalled since 1745, was reopened by the Procurator General of the Oratory of St Philip...
