It is in excellent condition, the frame have some small minor rubs.
About the artist:
Born in Montreal in 1952, Suezan was influenced early in her life by the works of modern Japanese woodblock printmakers which hung throughout her parents’ home. She attended the Fine Arts programme at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick (1969 - 1971), The Ontario College of Art (1971-73), L’ ecole du Musee des Beaux Arts (1974), Nova Scotia College of Art and Design -BFA (1975) as well as a very intensive year of study with Toshi Yoshida in Tokyo (1984-85).
She has exhibited extensively in both public and private galleries throughout North America and Japan. Recent exhibitions include solo shows in Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa, and Boston with group exhibitions at the Wenniger Gallery, Boston, Royal Canadian Academy in Toronto and the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa.
Her paintings and woodblock prints are found in many collections such as The Canada Council Art Bank, The Nickle Art Museum, The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, The Royal Bank of Canada, Prince Takamanonamiya Norihito, the Embassy of Canada in Tokyo, The Thomas Moore Institute as well as private collections.
Suezan Aikins was awarded the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant in 1983, Nova Scotia Department of Culture - Development Grants in 1980, 1987 and 1988. She was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Art in 1990 and received the Canadian Progress Club- Women of Excellence Award for Culture in 1993. Her work has been featured in a number of television documentaries as well as many Canadian magazines.

About the artist.
Hernando Vines Soto was the Son of a French engineer of Catalan origin and Maria Soto (daughter of a former president of Honduras and a native Guatemalan), and nephew of the pianist Ricardo Viñes . With the outbreak of World War I , the Viñes leave Paris and after visiting several points of the French geography, settle in Madrid . When he returned to Paris in 1919 , he presented his works to Picasso,who advised him to enter the Academy of Sacred Art founded by Maurice Denis and George Desvallières.. Later, he also attended André Lhote's classes and worked in the studio of Gino Severini . In 1922 , he visited the Monastery of Silos with his father.

Edward Duncan was the son of Thomas Duncan (c1781-1841) and Peggy née Watson. He was born on 21 October 1803 at St Pancras in London. He was apprenticed to Robert Havell, the principal aquatint engraver of Audubon's Birds of America. Duncan was afforded frequent opportunities of studying the works of Havell's brother, the watercolorist, William Havell. These developed his taste for drawing and the use of colour. After tutelage under the Havell Brothers in London, Duncan started his own engraving studio, and primarily created print works for Fores of Piccadilly. I painted this from a photo I took at Stafford Lake on a cloudy, rainy day. As I worked on it, it started to feel like a night scene to me and I thought it would be fun to add the moon and its reflection. I like how it provides a counter point in this monochromatic design.
About the Artist
Pastel artist Patricia Prendergast creates impressionist artworks that depict the rivers and landscapes near her home in Sacramento, California. With each nature vignette, she captures the sense of larger natural rhythms through quick mark-making, mauve undertones, and a tranquil and serene haziness. Her work recalls the paintings from the Hudson River School such as Thomas Cole and Asher Brown Durand. Before working on her pastels at home in her studio, she spends hours studying nature on walks along the river near her home. Since becoming an artist, she says “everything is more vivid - the beauty of light and shadow in the trees, the subtlety of the color of clouds, the sparkle and reflections in water.” Her work as been exhibited in solo shows around California. After getting his BA and MA in fine art at the University of Wisconsin, Richard Royce went to France to study with Stanley W. Hayter, On returning to the US he opened a studio where he produced etchings, cast paper, paintings and sculptural commissions of his own work while at the same time helping other artists including Roy Lichtenstein, Larry Rivers, Marisol, George Segal, Raphael Soyer, Francoise Gilot and Jim Rosenquist to realize works in various media.

About the artist.
Anne Popperwell was born in Oakland, California, in 1948 and studied art at the San Francisco Art Institute from 1968-1970 with a major in painting and a minor in photography. She has been painting and exhibiting her work in both private and public galleries, primarily in Canada, since 1981. She paints in watercolour on paper and acrylic on canvas, though not exclusively, using nature-based imagery. Shortly after her arrival in Canada in 1976, Anne moved to an island off the West Coast to paint a particular landscape, the eroded sandstone shoreline. In the course of this eight-year series of paintings, she experimented with point of view, scale and colour, developing a method of working that creates the effect of light coming from within the subject itself. Her paintings are included in private, corporate and public collections in Canada and in private collections in the United States, Mexico and Europe.
