Gijs Bakker "Gb Lounge Chair" by Karakter
By Aldo Bakker
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
Gijs Bakker "GB Lounge chair" by Karakter Dutch industrial designer Gijs Bakker had already established a reputation for his aluminum jewelry when he decided to turn his attention to designing a chair. Inspired by a competition held by Dunlop, the rubber foam manufacturer, Bakker took a piece of foam, bent it at a 90 degree angle, and fixed it in a metal frame. The result was the GB Lounge, a modular lounge chair whose simple silhouette is enhanced by invitingly overstuffed upholstery. Originally coined “the Levi’s Chair,” Bakker was determined that his design – much like a pair of well-loved jeans...

Henrik Tengler, HT 2014 Brown Leather Time Chair by One Collection
By Henrik Tengler, Onecollection
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
The tme chair is a dynamic and comfortable conference chair designed by Henrik Tengler in 2012. The chair is purposely designed not to follow current trends. Instead its aesthetic resembles the cosmopolitan functionalism of the Bauhaus period. Henrik Tengler has achieved this by incorporating an open steel frame and adding rm cushions. The 12 mm steel tube construction of the chair ensures unbeatable strength in spite of the delicate expression of the chair. Furthermore, the oversized cushions create a titillating exchange between the carrying and carried elements of the chair. Lastly, time and effort has gone into shaping every detail of the chair, giving it a highly exclusive feel. The chair allows for dynamic use and positions by responding to your movements. With clever features and ergonomic support, the time chair...

Finn Juhl Pelican Chair Upholstered in Offwhite Sheepskin
By Finn Juhl
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
Pelican chair designed by Finn Juhl in 1940, relaunched in 2001. Manufactured by House of Finn Juhl in Denmark. Pelican chair was probably the one furthest ahead of its time. When it was presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in 1940, it stood out with its unusual shape and sturdy legs. The characteristic soft and organic shape is almost like a body holding a body. When you sit down, the chair practically gives you a friendly hug. Like many of Finn Juhl’s later designs, the chair offers several comfortable ways to sit. As a tribute to the Pelican Chair House of Finn Juhl is launching it in natural sheepskin from Gotland. This upholstery gives the chair an individual and unique expression, as the warmth of the sheepskin pleasantly underlines the character of the sculptural chair. The new edition of the Pelican chair will be available from December 1st. Because the supply of sheepskin from Gotland is seasonal, the quantity for sale will be limited. Mario Bellini 'Cab' Lounge Chair, Tubular Steel and Leather by Cassina
By Mario Bellini, Cassina
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
Loounge chair designed by Mario Bellini in 2015. Manufactured by Cassina in Italy. Roomy and inviting, cab lounge is a restatement of the cab chair concept. Nothing short of a masterpiece of craftsmanship, the Cab Lounge armchair is perfectly suited to both residential or contract use. The leather upholstery fits the tubular steel frame like an exquisitely tailored garment, complementing the curves, in a perfect symbiosis between the structural and the organic. The eleven leather sections, hand-stitched and fitted with four zipper closures, undergo fourteen hand-executed processes before they are complete. Fitted with a reclining mechanism, the five-spoke base sets off the entire chair, while the ergonomically correct design renders it extraordinarily comfortable; the care taken in the details is without equal. Important information regarding images of products: Please note that some of the images show other colors and variations of the model, these images are only to present interior design proposals. The item that is selling is on the first image. Important information regarding color(s) of products: Actual colors may vary. He received the Golden Compass Award eight times and 25 of his works are in the permanent design collection of the New York MoMA, which dedicated to him a personal retrospective in 1987. He was editor of Domus magazine (1985-1991). He has designed countless art, design and architecture exhibitions over the years, both in Italy and abroad: among the latest those at Palazzo Reale with Giotto's masterpieces (2016) and - at the Milanese Museo del '900 - the one dedicated to Margherita Sarfatti (2018-2019). In 2015 the Milan Triennale awarded him the Gold Medal for his career in architecture and in 2017 dedicated a retrospective exhibition to him. The same exhibition that will be organized again in Moscow in March 2019. Since 1991 he is Royal Honorary Designer of RDI. Since the 1980’s Mario Bellini, dedicating himself almost entirely to architecture, has designed numerous kinds of buildings including the Portello Trade Fair district in Milan, the Villa Erba Exhibition and Convention Centre in Cernobbio (Como), the Tokyo Design Centre in Japan, the Natuzzi America Headquarters in the United States, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, the Deutsche Bank Headquarters in Frankfurt, the City History Museum of Bologna, the Department of Islamic Art at the Louvre in Paris, the new Milan Convention Centre - the largest in Europe - and in Rome-Fiumicino the new international Airterminal T3 has been completed, while the new Headquarters Generali Group in Trieste has just been inaugurated.
