These are a very good Large pair of Chinese foo or lion dogs on plinth's, sometimes called temple lions made of metal and hand gilded with fine detail, all in the Ming style but dating to the early 20th century, Circa 1920s period.
These are an unusually large pair of Chinese Export Foo Dogs, nearly 12 inches tall, with an unpacked weight of over 2Kg each.
These pair of Foo Dogs are modelled in the Ming style, sat on rectangular plinths with a brocade ball under one raised foot. These pieces are very well detailed, then hand gilded. The plinth's have detailed motifs moulded into the central panels with border detail along their upper and lower edges, with black felt to their bases.

This is a hand painted 17th century, late Ming dynasty, porcelain Jar or small Vase which we attribute to the Hatcher shipwreck cargo, this piece being from the Wanli /transitional period, circa 1625- 1640.
The Jar/ Vase is fairly thickly potted with a very white glaze to the porcelain.
It is decorated with a man and a boy stood against a tree with rocks, mountains and flying bats in the background all hand painted in various shades of a clear under-glaze cobalt blue. The irregular shaped head, bald high forehead, and straight pencilled beard with moustache support this date and period.

This is a good Chinese porcelain circular Platter or large plate, made for the export (Canton) market, during the middle of the 18th century, Qing-Qianlong period.
The plate is well hand decorated with much detail in varying shades of cobalt blue, with a glaze of a very soft light blue shade.
The plate has a central hand-painted pattern of bamboo and other flowers issuing from a rocky base with a fence, all within a geometric inner border. The inner rim also has a continuous decorated border design with three sections.
The reverse is undecorated..
