Pair of 18th-century architectural fragments
Located in Rio De Janeiro, BR
This pair of 18th-century architectural fragments captures the elegance and craftsmanship of colonial-era decorative art. Originally part of a larger structure, these wooden fragments showcase intricate carvings, likely once embellishing a grand interior space with their distinctive style. Each piece features a graceful, fluted column-like design with scrolling volutes, adding a sense of movement and refinement that reflects the baroque influence prevalent during the period. The patina on the wood speaks to the age and authenticity of these fragments, with a natural wear that enhances their character and historical charm. Delicate foliate motifs can be observed near the top, subtly incorporated into the design to evoke a sense of organic beauty. The unique curvature and details would have made these fragments a highlight within their original architectural setting. These fragments are versatile in their potential uses today, making them ideal as decorative pieces in various settings. Whether mounted on a wall or displayed on pedestals, they serve as striking reminders of 18th-century artistry and add a sense of historical grandeur to any space. Perfect for collectors of architectural antiques or those seeking to bring a touch of old-world charm into their interiors, these fragments stand...

This sculpture is part of the series of animal sculptures that Abraham Palatnik made from the 1960s, in small format, they are small jewels of kinetic art, a movement of which he was one of the pioneers. "Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, in 1928 to a family of Russian Jews, Palatnik moved with his family to Tel Aviv (then Palestine) when he was four years old. He attended Montefiori Technical School, where he specialized in internal combustion engines, and studied art under the tutelage of the painter Haaron Avni and the sculptor Sternshus at the Municipal Institute of Art. When he returned to Brazil in 1948, his output consisted mainly of figurative and landscape paintings and charcoal drawings. Blue with Red Laces Agate Slice with Crystallized Center and Photochromic Effect
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
A superb slice of agate, this delicate specimen comes in a custom-made stand so you can fully enjoy it. A Soledade Agate that brings beautiful and intact bandings, where the laces grow in blue, gray, and red colors, and a mix of Circular and Horizontal Bandings with a crystallized center, It's a testament to Mother Nature's artistry, now accessible to you. This thin slice of agate has a translucent photochromic characteristic, and as you can see in the pictures, the backlight enhances and changes the color perspective of the agate, and an iridescent color effect shows up. A perfect display specimen to add near a window so you can see the color changes during the day. With no cracks and no treatment at all, the agate is of super-extra grade. Outstanding from both sides, this earth and blue lace agate slice surely is an amazing addition to your crystal collection. Check out the photos and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍 You may be wondering, how were the blue lace layers formed. It's just amazing: agates normally form inside bubbles or cavities of igneous (volcanic) basalt and, over time, are filled with layers of water with high concentrations of silica. The water is slowly evaporated, forming a layer of silica gelatin and then a layer is formed. It is a very slow process and each layer contains different impurities, thus forming different colored bands. Fantastic, right? ▫️ Lace Agate with Druzy Geode on Stand...
