About the Item

Accademia Wall Lamp by Cini Boeri for Artemide, Italy 1978. The Accademia sconce (or wall lamp) designed by Cini Boeri in 1978 is one of the variations manufactured by Artemide of the most popular table lamp. Through its elegant and minimalistic geometric shapes, Cini Boeri managed to create a timeless piece of design which is enriched by the appealing colour contrast between the black base and the white lampshade. The white cotton fabric that appears in front of the viewer provides a soft light diffusion that filters the radiations ensuring a cozy experience that fits perfectly any warm environment; this wise use of fabric helps softening the strong geometrical shapes of the lamp, conveying a sense of purity and simplicity. Through all those features, the Accademia lamp, and specifically the sconce model, is the maximum expression of the vibrant minimalism that Cini Boeri mastered perfectly. The many contrasts present in this lamp combine the lighting functional aspect with an iconic style, using simple lines to define an attractive and extremely unornamented product that adapts to any luxurious space.
