Iconic "Taccia" Table Lamp by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, 1960s

About the Item

An iconic piece of Italian design, this Taccia table lamp by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos. It has been gently displayed only in a showroom window for a short period, preserving its pristine condition with the original label intact. This rare find comes from a 1990s deadstock inventory and remains in excellent, like-new condition. Known for its masterful indirect and reflected light, the Taccia features a directional diffuser crafted from transparent mouth-blown glass, allowing for an elegant play of light and shadow. The gloss white-painted aluminum reflector exterior with a matte white interior provides soft yet focused illumination, enhancing its functional beauty. The matte black anodized aluminum body and nickel-plated base further emphasize its sculptural and modern aesthetic, making it a sophisticated statement piece. With substantial dimensions (50 cm diameter, 65 cm height), this lamp embodies enduring elegance and Castiglioni’s pioneering approach to functional design, making it an impressive addition to any refined interior.
