Vintage Armchairs in Walnut Burl by Franco Albini, 1930s, Set of 2

About the Item

Pair of flared goblet or lyre armchairs in select walnut root. The lines echo the designs of Franco Albini, the fabrics are in the Bauhaus style. The armchairs are datable to 1925/30. The sofa matching the armchairs on the back has fabric replaced about 10 years after the furniture was made and depicts adolescents in military 'Balilla' form. On the bottom, the mark on both armchairs is illegible. This piece was designed in the style of Franco Albini. Good overall condition, stain and restoration on one armrest. Fabric to be cleaned or replaced, see photo. Seat height 40 cm. Packaging with bubble wrap and cardboard boxes is included. If the wooden packaging is needed (fumigated crates or boxes) for US and International Shipping, it's required a separate cost (will be quoted separately).
