Set of three chairs ‘The Red Chairs’ model 3949 designed by Kaare Klint for Rud. Rasmussen Fabrik, Denmark, 1928. Cuban mahogany, Niger leather, upholstery and brass nails. Marked. Our set of three ‘The Red Chairs’ model 3949 designed by Kaare Klint – they are known as ‘the small Red Chairs’. This chair was designed in 1928, in Denmark, a year after the original ‘Red Chair’ model. This particular set was manufactured in the 1930s by Rud. Rasmussen Fabrik, and comes with its original Niger leather and brass detailing. Kaare Klint (1888–1954) was a Danish architect and furniture designer.
