About the Item

A unique Mid Century Bird lounge chair with matching ottoman called that because of it's nest like seat design by Harry Bertoia , sculptor , artist and furniture craftsman . Bertoia is best known for his light , functional and comfortable chairs that are more like pieces of art than many of his contemporaries and are as fresh today as they were more that 50 years ago . Upholstered in the original woven fabric with black wire metal frame sitting on rubber mounts adding to the great ergonomics of long periods of relaxing . The original fabric and chair both manufactured by Knoll . Measurements for the ottoman are 15" H x 24" L x 17" D .

    Repaired: 2 Older welded and painted repairs to the upper sides of the frame which is very typical for this style of chair , please refer to pictures of the repairs . Wear consistent with age and use. In great condition with slight repairs to each side which is hard to see when placed in the sitting position .
