This stunning antique brooch has been crafted in 15k yellow gold with a silver setting. The antique brooch has been modelled in the form of a stylised bee/winged insect. The thorax of the insect is ornamented with an old round cut synthetic* ruby, encircled with eleven diamonds in a combination of Old Dutch and Old round cut. The large striped abdomen of this stylised winged insect is defined with 15k yellow gold decorated borders and embellished further with Old Dutch and Old round cut diamonds, graduating in size depending on location. The paired, pierced decorated wings are embellished with curvilinear bands incorporating one hundred and eighty-seven diamonds. The head of this impressive insect brooch is embellished with an Old Dutch cut diamond, accented with two cabochon synthetic ruby representing the eyes. The insect has two bifurcating stylised antennae ornamented with old Dutch cut and round cut diamonds to the swept terminals. The legs of the insect are realistically modelled in 15k yellow gold. This 1880s brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and security clasp. The insect brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card. This large brooch has been modelled in the form of a three dimensional tied ribbon bow, ornamented with stunning diamonds totalling 21.04 carats. The loops and tails of the bow are embellished with articulating strands of one-hundred and sixty individually claw set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds. The ribbon's undulating three-dimensional edge is further ornamented with a paralleling border of ninety-eight channel set baguette cut diamonds. The slim knot is further embellished with nine baguette cut diamonds, channel set to a platinum sweeping design. The reverse of this stunning brooch features a solid platinum frame, replicating the simplified shape of the articulating brooch; the articulating anterior portion indicates the high quality of the piece. This stunning, fine and impressive honeycomb diamond pendant has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The vintage frame (1978) has a geometric honeycomb design consisting of seven hexagonal shaped sections. Each section is ornamented with an articulated six claw setting accented with a fluted design and embellished with an antique (circa 1900) Old European round cut diamond; the largest of which is the central stone (0.38ct). The incurves of the outer border of the design are accented with an antique Old European round cut diamond, displayed within organic bud-shaped settings. The pendant is suspended from a contemporary 18k yellow gold 45.72cm/18" trace chain via an integrated, hinged ring loop attachment. This chain may be replaced with a chain of choice on request. This versatile pendant is fitted with an integrated hinged pin and security clasp to the reverse to allow it to be worn as a brooch if so desired. The pendant is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18 ct gold fineness mark 750, the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1978 (D). The brooch has been modelled in the form of a dragon with textured ornamentation in yellow gold to represent to dragon's scales. The lower portion of the dragon's body is ornamented with impressive textured hot enamel decoration in tones of green and yellow. The impressive brooch is further ornamented with a yellow gold bouquet of flowers held in the dragon's mouth. The flowers are each represented by an individually claw set gemstone; a combination of impressive modern brilliant cut diamonds, round faceted rubies and round faceted sapphires. The dragon's eye is represented by a circular panel of black enamel. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged double pin and push fit safety clasp. The exceptional brooch is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the 18k gold fineness mark - 750 - and the Italian town and maker's mark for Alessandria (494 AL).
