Is there anything as wondrous as being Au Naturel??? When it comes to something as ravishing as this natural walnut table… we think NOT!!! That’s right, this is an enchanting natural walnut conference or dining table with a handsome black powder coated steel tube base featuring a center walnut panel bearing a hint of a Brutalist design with graduating stacked horizontal cut outs, custom made in Lawrence, Kansas by woodworking artist Matthew Jarmer. The base insets and the rectangular top were crafted from locally sourced wood from Topeka, Kansas. Good ‘Ol T-Town!!! Check out that magnificent wood grain!!! It’s simply marvelous!!! The table edges are “semi natural” as there has been some sanding but it’s not completely smooth, some of the uneven natural knotty tones of the wood come through. The center of the table exhibits a unique feature utilizing a beautiful natural split which created an opening that only Mother Nature (and maybe some hand crafted mastery from Mr. Jarmer!) could design. It is convenient for phone and other device cords if you are using it as a conference or worktable, but it would also serve as an INCREDIBLE dining table!! Talk about a BOLD statement piece!! Matthew Jarmer is a Lawrence, Kansas based woodworker and artist with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Kansas State University. GO K STATE!! He works from the East Side Workshop, located in Lawrence, KS. He creates furnishings, art, and other custom pieces using locally resourced wood mingled with his traditional techniques and a touch of modern style. His work and information is available to view online.

Handsome Mid-Century Modern love seat length sofa in black vinyl faux leather upholstery and walnut base in the style of Wormley for Dunbar or Harvey Probber. It is in wonderful vintage condition. It is hard to say who designed and produced this fabulously gorgeous and simple streamline Mid-Century Modern style sofa first. Was is Edward Wormley for Dunbar? Was it Harvey Probber or Florence Knoll? Or, did Taylor Chair Company, the maker of this particular love seat, actually make their rendition first? Does it matter? You will love the lines and materials used in this two-seat love seat Lawson shape sofa with a tight back and two loose seat cushions. It is covered in a very nice and natural looking black faux leather vinyl. So close to the real thing its is hard to tell the difference. And sets on a walnut Parsons’ style base. Simple but very handsome.
Taylor Chair Company was founded by Benjamin Fitch in 1816 Bedford, Ohio. He originally made split-bottom chairs in his cabin. In 1841 one of Mr. Fitch’s employees, William O. Taylor, married Mr. Fitch’s daughter. William quickly took over active management of the company and by late 1940s the company became known as W.O. Taylor Factory. Fabulous set of five Mid-Century Modern Planner Group style #1534 dining chairs by Paul McCobb for Winchendon. Comprised of a dark walnut finished maple. They have been newly upholstered at some point in their recent past in a brown background fabric with chenille squiggly undulating lines in gold and turquoise or teal. Beautiful condition with age-appropriate wear as you would expect with vintage pieces. Two of the chair backs do have small nicks. One has been repaired. All chairs have been re-glued. We have used restore-a-finish on the original finish to bring back its original shine. Please see photos. Circa 1949-1964.

Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The damask fabric is worn & shabby chic & perfectly aged in our opinion, but some will want to recover. It is priced as such. Fabric has been cleaned just in case. Handsome Scandinavian Modern Arne Jacobsen Series 7 black & chrome office chair designed by Fritz Hansen. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are a few dents & nicks as you would expect with age & wear. Sculptural, functional, and comfortable! The Series 7 chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1955 and is an icon in modern furniture history. The Fritz Hansen website states that the chair is made from 9 layers of pressure molded veneer for strength, flexibility, and durability despite its slender form. This one was made in 1993 and it is comprised of a molded black painted plywood seat which is uniquely shaped for the human body. Ergonomically enjoyable!! It has the chrome four-star leg base with chromed hooded wheel casters. It’s incredibly versatile, with unique character and unmatchable comfort. It is manually adjustable in height, and it swivels! It will make the perfect office or desk chair in your Scandinavian Modern or mid-century modern style home office or den.
Fritz Hansen was founded in 1872, when Fritz Hansen, a Danish carpenter, founded his own furniture company and in 1915 introduced his first chair in steam bent wood. In 1934, Fritz Hansen began his collaboration with Arne Jacobsen resulting in some of the famous, classic icons of Danish Design including the “Ant” in 1952, the Series 7 in 1955, the Grand Prix in 1957, the Swan in 1958, and the Egg in 1958. Other famous collaborations have resulted in Piet Hein’s super-elliptical table from 1968 and in 1982 Fritz Hansen acquired the rights to a major part of Poul Kjaerholm’s furniture collection. Charming late 20th century modified tuxedo slipcover style pillow back large scale sofa. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. This sofa will need to be reupholstered. There are rust stains on the body along with other stains even though it has been professionally cleaned. It has been priced accordingly. The loose-24-inch pillows are in good condition although the poly fil in the animal print pillows is twisted and needs to be repositioned. Please see photos and zoom in for details. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, well, behold this beauty! But don’t look at the fabric ethel!!!! Lol!!!! Ok, so… this sofa is a definite reupholster which we feel comes with SO MANY fabulous opportunities! Plus, the sofa has really good bones. Let’s talk about the “bones” first!! This baby is large scale, and the arms have a slight angle; hence, modified tuxedo style, two loose feather wrapped foam zippered seat cushions, a loose pillow back with five unzippered 24 inch poly filled pillows, and black painted wood tapered legs under the skirt. It is upholstered in a slipcover style and right now, it has a Neoclassical look with Greek key detail trimming the base of the skirt combined with animal print pillows, but changing the fabric will completely change the style of the sofa. Versatility overload!! Three pillows are solid off-white linen on one side and textured & striped off-white linen on the other side and two pillows are camel or khaki and off white animal print. If you put a neutral cover on the sofa you could use ANY pillows. You could have so much fun with that! Adorn it with seasonal or holiday pillows...

The beautiful original royal blue vinyl has some nicks, holes, & dings, specifically on the four corners, which have been repaired. One of the chrome legs has pitting that has been polished & touched up. And there is a small 1/4 “cut” in the main pad area which we felt was better left alone.
