Wonderful vintage Tropitone outdoor chairs with vinyl straps & cushions, set of 6. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The chair frames and cushions have been pressure washed and professionally cleaned. We have touched up some places on the frames with Krylon ivory gloss and we have ordered new feet for the chairs. The cushions still have some stubborn stains after cleaning and two of the cushions are a slightly different color of white from the rest. Please see photos and zoom in for details. This is a lovely set of six mid-century modern outdoor dining chairs by Tropitone comprised of fabulous weather resistant ivory painted aluminum frames and uv-resistant vinyl back and seat straps. They have their original loose seat cushions featuring blue and white striped weather resistant fabric covers. Two of the chairs are a little more ivory than white, it’s the way we obtained them, And they’re FABULOUS!! We believe that these are an older “vintage” version of the current Khana chair by Tropitone because these have straight backs not curved; tubular arms slightly flared outward not straight; as well as slightly curved legs. It’s a comfortable, sturdy design ready to surround any style outdoor table. And, if you’re in search of outdoor tables as well, check out the many options we have listed here for sale! They are ready to be the new vintage addition to your patio, deck, porch, or out by the pool. Tropitone was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1954 by Burt M. Baker, a retired Lockhead Engineer and executive at Grand Rapids Chair Company. Tropitone served the contract market, including hotels, motels, clubs, and resorts with high performing outdoor patio furniture. In the 1960’s they introduced powder coated aluminum finishes to the industry. Utilizing a multi-step wash process that ensures a lasting finish, Tropitone’s aluminum frames prevail under any environmental conditions. Tropitone also pioneered the technique of double-wrapping vinyl straps around the powder coated aluminum frame for extra durability, which continues today. In 1970’s they established operations in Irvine, California which provided a bi-coastal manufacturing to North American customers. In the 80’s they released “Comfort is Key” cushions and sling seating. Tropitone sling seating has the perfect combination of clean lines, designer fabrics and carefree maintenance. In the 90’s EZ Span and Basta Sole Umbrellas were introduced and in the 2000’s woven furniture and Relax Plus cushion seating was created including replications of rattan or wicker outdoor furniture. Tropitone continued to launch new systems for their furniture from 2000 through 2014 when they celebrated their 60 years in business when they joined forces with Brown Jordan International.

Handsome Mid-Century Modern coral vinyl faux leather and aluminum leg chaise lounge or day bed. It is in good vintage condition. The beautiful original coral colored vinyl has many nicks, holes, dings, and tears. But we have repaired a few and if you do not need perfection you could get by using this great colored upholstery. One large repair is in the middle of the head pad. Please see photos. However, we know most will want to reupholster, so it is priced accordingly. Circa mid-20th century.
I am looking into the future and I can just imagine you lounging upon this lovely chaise while sipping a cocktail from your mid-century modern bar cart! Or maybe that’s me? No. I think it is you. Well I assume that means you are going to make this fabulous piece yours. It is comprised of four-square tubular brushed aluminum legs which hold it to padded chaise lounge body. It is currently wearing its original gorgeous coral colored vinyl faux leather with nail head detail. Unfortunately, this covering has seen lots of use and you will most likely want to recover. However, we have repaired a few of the boo boos and if you can live with them for a bit you could enjoy this luscious color for a while. It will be fabulous in your mid-century modern home or industrial loft no matter where it is used. We did not find any tags or maker’s name and do not know exactly how this piece started its life. But we can visualize it learning lots of secrets in a psychiatrist office or offering a seat to young starlets in the director’s office. Whatever secrets it holds we know you are smitten as we are. Make it yours!

Handsome pair of square Mid-Century Modern to modern Parsons style side tables or end tables comprised of a rectangular chrome tube frame with a white painted cane and glass insert top. They are in wonderful vintage condition. We have given the cane insert a fresh coat of paint and chrome has normal wear for age but nothing outstanding. Please see photos, circa 1960s-1970s.
When I saw this lovely pair of little side tables I knew I had to have them to offer to you. I know you have just the spot to place them. They are square and Parsons style with frames made of rectangular chrome tube which is nicely welded and polished. They have a white cane and glass insert for the top. I have seen these attributed to Milo Baughman, but I do not believe that to be true. However, they are somewhat in his style with the combination of the chrome and cane. No matter who designed or made this pair they are handsome and handy little end tables. Place them side by side as a small cocktail table or split them up. They are the perfect spot to set a drink while relaxing in your favorite chair or napping sofa...

WOW!!! Just look at this GORGEOUS chrome and smoked glass 5 shelf étagère!! Designed in the manner of James David or DIA, this wonderful Mid-Century Modern étagère has a distinct appearance… starting with four tall, vertical square chrome tubes that are placed in a manner that creates a tall slender “square” in the center of the étagère. Antique Viking Longboat Ship Cast Iron Chandelier with Horse Head and Shields

Handsome and unusual cast iron eight light chandelier in the shape of a Viking longboat or ship with a horse head, horse tail, warrior shields, chain and anchor details. It is in wonderful antique condition. The cast iron has a natural patina that is simply splendid. The gilded shields too have their own great age patina consisting of missing gilding and dings. The candles are original but in great condition and can be replace if you wish. The fixture has been rewired and is ready to hang. Please see photos, circa 1930s-1950s.

Fun fact… This popular furniture technique first appeared in England and France in the 1600s. Furniture with spiral-turned legs was known as “barley twist” or “barley sugar,” as it resembled sticks of barley sugar! Isn’t that SWEET?? We certainly think so! Wonderful Mid-Century Modern black ceramic lamps with harlequin diamond style designs on front and new gray tapered drum shades. All of the brass plating on the harps, finials, and bases is pretty patinated and both lamps have been rewired and are ready to use. They have new cords, sockets, and base felt. Handsome vintage modern Maurice Villency button black vinyl faux leather cube armchair with chrome legs. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The bottom of the seat has been re-webbed and two small tears on the outside left arm has been repaired. There are light scuffs on the bottom apron and the front of the right arm of the chair. Maurice Villency began designing in the 1950’s at his own furniture loft in Greenwich Village, New York. He was born in Glasgow Scotland, the son of a cabinet maker and at the age of 19 he moved to the United States with his family and introduced Scandinavian Modern furniture with one of his first successes being a sectional.
