We’ve gone PLUM CRAZY over these impressive Baker plum color tuxedo style club chairs!! They’re modern, a little bit contemporary, completely fabulous, and oh-so-comfortable! And why wouldn’t they be? Their loose polyester fiber cushions are wrapped in feathers & down!! They have deep, square seats and what feels like the perfect arm height. Oh man… you’ll have a tough time getting out once you sit down! The fabric is also wonderful, it feels a bit like wool though we’re not completely sure, and this COLOR!!! It’s such a delicious purple that it makes us want a big bowl of purple grapes or a juicy plum! They have a gorgeous walnut toned base that wraps around the whole base of the chair with straight, tapered legs. These chairs are timeless in their style and are going to be absolutely stunning in your living room flanking your fireplace or side by side across from your sofa. Have a corner or sitting room that needs just the right seating? You just found it! Baker is one of the most prestigious names in furniture! They were founded in 1890 by Siebe Baker, an immigrant from the Netherlands as an interior woodwork and door company. Three years later they made their first piece of furniture. In 1910 Siebe’s son, Hollis S. Baker, joined the company as a salesman and throughout most of Baker’s existence it was a family-controlled business, even being sold and repurchased in the 1920s-1930s. Baker is considered a design legacy and over the years they have produced furniture designed by such greats as Donald Desky and Kem Weber in the early 20th century, Finn Juhl in the mid-20th century, and John Saladino and Barbara Barry in the late 20th century. They have introduced many award-winning furniture collections including, during the 1940s and 1950s, Far East Collection, the first Asian furniture collection manufactured in the USA; and Palladian Collection an Italian neo classic design. Then, in the 1960s and 1970s the introduction of country English and French Provincial featuring the reproduction of choice antiques from the home of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford. After decades of being in the Baker family hands, in 1969 it was sold to Magnavox then in 1986 to Kohler Co. It remains today a part of Kohler and operates out of North Carolina. Still one of the top names in furniture. They’re by Baker so they’re Prestigious… they exude Pure comfort, and they’re Perfectly Purple!! What more do you need? Make them yours!!
