An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver locking tea caddy; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique George III sterling silver locking tea caddy has a navette, paneled shaped form. The body of this silver tea caddy box is embellished with bands of bright cut engraved volute spiraling leaf ornamentation on a matte background to the upper and lower portions; these bands flank a plain undulating bordered panel. The ornamentation to the surface of the caddy alternates with panels of concave vertical fluted decoration. This antique Georgian tea caddy is retains the original hallmarked flush hinged covers; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is embellished with further bright cut engraved undulating borders accented with bud motifs, in addition to simplified borders paralleling the domed paneled portion; the domed portions reflects the incurved shape of the body. These exceptional antique George III sterling silver sauce tureens have a plain rectangular rounded form. The body of each tureen is plain and embellished with an applied gadroon decorated border to the lower portion and upper rim. These impressive silver tureens retain the original hallmarked push fit covers ornamented with further applied gadroon decoration to the upper plateau in addition to the base of the impressive reed decorated handle enveloped with leaf designs to the terminals. The surface of each cover is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a falcon holding a partridge between her feet and encompassed with the belted motto 'Qui potest capere capiat', Let him who can take, take. This inkstand is encompassed with an applied thread decorated border, in addition to the contemporary engraved initials 'WW'. The rim of the body of the sterling silver inkstand is ornamented with a paralleling applied reed decorated border. The internal wirework style frame of the stand is divided into three rounded supports. Each internal compartment retains the original rounded glass bottles with cut glass ornamentation in addition to impressive scalloped bases. Applied and engraved decoration envelop this masterpiece equipped with a carved handle, lion's head spigot and spectacular lion's paw supports. The piece bears the arms of the Neave Baronetcy with those of Digby, for Sir Thomas Neave and his wife Frances Caroline, daughter of the Hon. William Digby, the Dean of Durham. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our Georgian wine and drinks related silverware collection This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver goblet has a plain circular bell shaped form to a circular, knopped pedestal foot. The body of this antique silver goblet is embellished with impressive embossed and chased medallion designs, accented with ribbon bows and conjoined with bud festoons. The upper portion is encircled with an engraved decorated interlacing border. The waisted, knopped pedestal and circular spreading foot are encompassed with applied bead decorated borders. This impressive example of Georgian silverware retains the original gilded interior. Condition This antique 1700s silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The embossed and chased decoration is all sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are very clear; the first portion of the maker's mark has worn in keeping with age and location.
