What a Book! The sheer scale and weight makes for a wonderful talking piece.
The Times London Royal Edition covers the period of 1 September to 31 October 1936, each day has around 10-11 pages of content, including some fabulous advertisements from the period, a pure joy to flick through and read.
These bound copies were made for Royal Palaces and Libraries, this surviving copy from 1936 is in good condition for its age with most of the pages intact, there is some age related damage/rips to a few pages but all in all in good condition.
A wonderful decorative piece of British history.

This book is part of a children’s series by Willy Pogány of folding panoramas illustrations and text, inspired by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s 1855 epic, The Song of Hiawatha. Lines from Longfellow run underneath Pogány’s illustrations, which follow the Ojibwe child Hiawatha from his early kinship with the wild animals, through his struggles with Nahma, King of Fishes, and his own estranged father, Mudjekeewis, up to his courtship of Laughing Water (Minnehaha). Presented is a first edition, second printing of The Flag of the United States: Your Flag and Mine by Harrison S. Kerrick. This book was published by The Champlin Printing Co. in Columbus, Ohio. The first edition, first printing of this title was issued in February of 1925; this second printing was issued in April of 1925.
This book is a culmination of lifelong passion and respect for the American flag by the author Harrison S. Kerrick. The book begins by detailing the acts of continental and national Congresses, presidential proclamations, and Executive Orders that established the United States flag and Great Seal. He discusses the state laws pertaining to the American flag and argues the importance of a national flag code. Kerrick delves into the past history of flag design, including which European flags were popular in the early colonies, the early banners of the colonies, and the design elements that make up the stars and stripes as we know it today. He spends two chapters covering the facts and fictional myths surrounding our national flag. He then details how best to use the flag for personal and public use, inclduding how to create a flag, care for a flag, and the codes of conduct surrounding the proper display of the flag.
Lieutenant colonel Harrison Summers Kerrick (1873 – 1939) was an United States Army officer, teacher, and author. Kerrick was born in 1873 in Bloomington, Illinois, and attended Illinois Wesleyan University. In 1898, he enlisted in Company C of the 2nd Illinois Volunteer Infantry, serving in the Spanish–American War, during which he was promoted to captain. He served as a field artillery officer in the Philippine–American War and in WWI, he served in the U.S. Army Coast Artillery Corps from December 1917 to February 1918.
A lecturer and teacher, Kerrick was also the author of two books, Military and Naval America and The Flag of the United States. A beautifully and colourfully illustrated copy of Richard Wagner's epic four epic opera dramas, illustrated throughout by Arthur Rackham with tipped-in colour plates, scarce to see in their original dust wrappers.

Both volumes are in their scarce original unclipped dust wrappers.
Complete in two volumes.
'The Rhinegold and the Valkyrie' illustrated with a tipped-in colour frontispiece, and thirty-three tipped-in colour plates.
'Siegfried and the Twilight of the Gods' illustrated with a tipped-in colour frontispiece, and twenty-nine tipped-in colour plates.
'Arthur Rackham Exhibition' advertising slip loosely inserted.
Collated, complete.
These two volumes contain Richard Wagner's four epic music dramas, the series being titled 'Der Ring des Nibelungen', or 'The Ring of the Nibelung', or simply the 'Ring Cycle'. These four are 'Das Rheingold'/'The Rhinegold', 'Die Walkure'/'The Valkyrie', 'Siegfried', and 'Gotterdammerung'/'Twilight of the Gods'. All four dramas are in these two volumes.
The four dramas are loosely based on characters from Norse mythology and the Nibelungenlied.
