Antique Victorian Serpentine Scottish Agate Brooch
Located in Stamford, CT
Undulating swirls of agate in mellow colors are cut and polished, then set in silver. Texture and softness were created by the jeweler with his choice of patterned agates as well as his ability to sculpt the stone. The pink agates are not frequently seen in scottish 19th century jewelry. Here they beautifully punctuate the horizontal plane. All of the workmanship was performed by hand Scottish jewelry, as well as Scottish tradition, were brought to the forefront during the second half of the 19th century because Queen Victorian and Prince Albert were deeply involved with and romanced Scottish tradition. At their privately owned castle Balmoral they dressed in Scottish clothing and wore Scottish jewelry. Their dedication brought Scottish agate...

Victorian Cameo Agate Pearl Garnet Yellow Gold Brooch, 1860
Located in Herzelia, Tel Aviv
Antique Victorian Agate and Pearl Seeds, Garnet Yellow Gold Cameo Brooch 1860 Extremely delicate and fine work depicting a high society lady, with pearls and silk dress. The brooch is arranged as levels building up, creating oval lines of Pearl Seeds and Garnet around the Cameo. Massive item. Victorian era is now gaining popularity thanks to all the Netflix movies. Delicate and yet restrained design speaks well to our turned down period. This Agate, Pearl Seeds and Garnet Cameo Brooch dates back to the 1860. The work is so precise that you see the lace on the lady's neck. A perfect item both for a jewelry collection and occasional ware. This fine item will never grow out of style and will only gain in value as time goes by and such items are incredibly rare to come across. It comes accompanied by a certificate from my gallery signed...
