This is an exceptional example of Moroccan fashion design.
Handcrafted in Morocco and tailored for a relaxed fit with wide sleeves, it is made in the traditional form of a Moroccan caftan using metallic brocade fabric. It is trimmed in handcrafted “passementerie”. The neckline does up with ball shaped buttons and loops.
The body of the garment is loose fitting and flares to the bottom.
The sleeves are somewhat bell shaped with an open cuff that does up with metallic gold buttons. The fabric is a rich looking metallic thread blend brocade.
This long maxi dress kaftan is embroidered and embellished entirely by hand with detailing around neckline, shoulders and cuffs.

Kajikawa family, flourished in the 19th century, they was Japanese lacquerware artists whose school in Edo (now Tokyo) flourished for more than 200 years. This family is perhaps the most famous of all the dynasties of Japanese lacquer artists, and certainly the name most often found on inro. The family is said to have been founded by Hikobei at Edo in the early 17th century, although some claim that the family’s great reputation really stemmed from his son and pupil Kyujiro. In any event, Hikobei worked for the shogunate, as did his successors until well into the 19th century. Kijirō excelled in designing particularly delicate lacquer inrō, portable medicine cases...

The form of Longquan celadon vases from the Northern Song dynasty evolved from an early design with a long neck and tapering body to a later ovoid body with a shorter neck. Over time, the glaze developed a more olive tone, and the carved decorations became more pronounced and intricate. Examples of such vases include one without a cover dated to the Yuanfeng era (1078~1085) and documented in literature, and another similar vase without loop handles preserved by the Qingyuan County Cultural Relics Bureau. An earlier example featuring loop handles and a lotus-like cover is also mentioned in historical texts.
The use of Longquan covered vases, especially as funerary jars for offerings like wine and grains, was highlighted by an inscription on a piece from the Sir Percival David Collection, London. This inscription wishes for the vessel to preserve fragrant wine for centuries, blessing the owner with prosperity, longevity, and a vast lineage, dated to the third year of the Yuanfeng period (1080). This practice was common in the regions of Southern Zhejiang and Northern Fujian. VERY RARE, MARVELOUS, ANTIQUE Chinese Hardwood carved Dragons stands. Extraordinary angular hardwood table stand raised on parallelogram base. PROVENANCE: From a private collector in Southern California. The collar is intricately carved with a floral pattern that can be seen throughout. Just below the upper surface is an umbrella-shaped apron that flows into the angular mighty legs that run down to flaring wide footing standing. The lumber is blackish-purple in hue, and its fibers are loaded with deep red pigments. The fine surface of the wood grain has a beautiful glow as the light is reflected. Very heavily Dense hardwood throughout, with a fine grain. All reserved in hand master carved and the smooth surface elaborately carved with detailed dragons motif in deep reliefs with hundred dragons in various formation, enormous front facing imperial dragons standing, Yin and Yang formation, and snarling huge imperial dragon careening through cumulus clouds, scrolling ruyi above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a dark brown color dragon squama rounded the stands. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons.
