What better way to see what was really buzzing in the design world in 2017 than to look back on the year’s top posts on 1stdibs’ Instagram feed?

Naturally, we see green walls and millennial pink decor. Lacquered surfaces were also alluring, as were the creations of contemporary furniture and lighting designers.

Both clashing patterns and neutral palettes had their moments, but it was a calming home library setting that grabbed the gold.
