This is a good quality coffee can that we attribute to the coalport porcelain works, Shropshire, England, made during the John Rose period of the George 111rd years, circa 1805-1810. The coffee can is nominally parallel, tapering slightly to the base, with a simple loop handle and pointed attachments. It has a shallow foot recess with obtuse corner and is unmarked to the base. An exceptional and impressive antique George IV English sterling silver Regency style three piece tea service/set; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This antique George IV sterling silver three piece tea service consists of a teapot, cream jug / creamer, and sugar bowl. Each piece of this impressive set has a rectangular rounded form onto four Regency style feet. The plain body of each piece is encircled with a band of embossed and chased decorated stylised floral motifs on a matte background. The teapot is fitted with a flush hinged, domed hallmarked cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this service. The cover retains the original sterling silver rounded rectangular finial embellished with chased stylised rose and leaf decoration, encompassed with a bud border. The teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with C scroll handles, ornamented with applied chased acanthus leaf decorated thumbpieces. Each component of this service is supported by four Regency style bracket style feet ornamented with a shaped claw foot, accented with scrolling leaf decoration and stylised floral motifs.
