Antique English Longport Attributed Creamware Blue Willow Transfer Plate

About the Item

A fine antique English soft paste porcelain or creamware plate. With a blue willow underglaze blue transfer decoration. Attributed to Longport. Marked to the reverse with a blue underglaze flower mark. Simply a wonderful piece of early English Blue Willow! Date: Late 18th or Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are a few small chips to the rim, some edge wear, some crazing throughout, and a factory flaw near 5 o'clock involving the blue glaze. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Attributed to Longport Marks: The reverse bears a blue underglaze flower or wheel mark apparently for Longport. Measurements: Height: ca. 8 7/8 in. Width: ca. 8 7/8 in. Height: ca. 3/4 in.
