Small Blue and White Willow Ware Octagonal Porcelain Platter

This platter is a traditional style from Jingdezhen, a town long distinguished by imperial patronage. The Willow Ware pattern is a beloved traditional Chinese style that was interpreted and reinterpreted by European potteries and is still popular today. Due to the unusual shape, this platter was formed by hand in a well mold and then trimmed to the final dimensions and slightly rustic finish.
