Blue and White Porcelain Ribbed Vase with Willow Ware Pattern

About the Item

This temple jar is a traditional porcelain vessel from Jingdezhen, a town long distinguished by imperial patronage. This piece is a porcelain vase with a design reminiscent of the famous Willow Ware pattern, accented by gourd-like vertical ribbing over the entire body of the vase. This vase is a fine expression of the traditional skill of the porcelain artisans of Jingdezhen. The ample size of the vase indicates that it will be glorious with flowers yet equally impressive as a sculptural object in any well-loved space.
