This vase is a traditional porcelain vessel from Jingdezhen, a town long distinguished by imperial patronage. An uncommon blue field with clouds and auspicious creatures set this vase apart from the blue and white we most commonly see. The names of the animals on the dark blue body of the vase are often homonyms for traditional thematic concepts like fertility, good fortune, long life, etc., and encourage repeat viewing from all angles. This vase should be delivered via pallet, blanket wrap service, or personal vehicle (for local deliveries).
