Doctor of Fine Arts with the thesis The Aesthetics of Horror and renowned artist, he has received numerous awards including the Prize Pilar Juncosa y Sotheby´s or the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró Award. His work has been exhibited in the most recognized institutions and museums from all over the world, like the Museum of Contemporary Art of Cleveland, the CAPC (Musée d’Art Contemporain de Bordeaux), the MNCARS (Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía) of Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Chicago, the MAMBO (Museum of Modern Art of Bogota) the Museum Folkwang of Essen, el MASP (Art Museum of São Paulo), or the MOCCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) of Toronto. He has taken part in different Art Biennals and Festivalas, like the Venice Biennale, The International Biennale of Contemporary Art of Seville, the Busan Biennale (South Korea), the Miami Biennale, the Biennale of Contemporary Art of Le Havre, or the Gwangju Biennale (South Korea).
