This is a very rare antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Sodalite Scarab and Lotus Flower Enamel Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver with a stunning Enamel Link Chain. The necklace is a museum quality jewel. The magnificent carved Blue Sodalite Scarab is a monumental Scarab of 30mm by 20mm by 12mm deep. The carved scarab has exquisite carved detailing on the front as well as on the reverse. The scarab is surrounded by an oval surround with exquisite blue, green and white enamel. Three Lotus Flower pendants hang from the bottom of the pendant. The colors and Egyptian motif are absolutely fabulous. The design continues onto the fabulous link chain which is adorned with the matching enamel colors of blue, green and white. The antique jewel is of a dramatic size and is a masterpiece of the Art Nouveau to Art Deco period. The gorgeous, large blue sodalite scarab is an absolute dream. Acquired in The States and likely inspired by the American 1938-commissioned animated-feature movie, Pinocchio, that was produced for two years by Walt Disney based on an Italian children's story, this unsigned pre-WWII yellow-gold-gilt brass necklace with elegant draping chains features a three-inch-long playful kinetic multi-textured faux-carved-wood puppet-on-strings pendant with pointed hat, filigree-capped collar and waist, and flexible geometric-shaped limbs. Structured with three chains, notice the additional texture on the slightly larger links of the upper necklace.
Unlike the movie, as the marionette on our necklace wears a lace-like collar resembling the original character illustrated by Enrico Mazzanti in the book by Tuscany-born Carlo Collodi, The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883), the necklace otherwise could date no earlier than the turn of the 19th Century when the spring-ring clasp was first in use. Since that time, Pinocchio became one of the most reimagined characters in literature based on multiple authors whose protagonist was a similar anthropomorphic puppet.
To be conservative about its age as the necklace is in good condition, we suspect that Austrian-born Hattie Carnegie commissioned it to accessorize her "hat-to-hem" custom-made or ready-to-wear clothing that frequently featured amusing figural subjects with articulated parts, such as mythical creatures, fauna or clowns. Before her death at the age 69 in 1956, not all of the pieces in the costume-jewelry parures of her eponymous brand since 1919 were signed, while based on experience we assume that at least clip earrings accompanied this creative necklace...

The dial has black Roman indices and is equipped with the Breguet style hands. The case is polished platinum (the cover is stamped inside with a platinum mark). A monogram decorates the back of the case with the initials G M W. The movement is fully marked with the Patek Philippe maker’s mark, a serial number and a place of origin (Geneve). The case was made by American Watch Company and it is stamped inside A. W. C. CO., platinum, 204954.
This vintage Patek watch with the white flat face framed in platinum is a classy accessory. The watch has a loop and can be worn as a pendant. The movement is mechanical, with a manual wind. The watch is in working condition.

A stunning, fine and impressive antique 3.43 carat peridot and seed pearl, 15 karat yellow gold necklace; part of our diverse antique jewelry collections.
This stunning antique peridot and pearl necklace has been crafted in 15k yellow gold.
The symmetrical, sinuous design is ornamented with a feature oval faceted cut peridot millegrain decorated bezel set to the centre of the frame.
The upper portion of this stone is draped with a simplified floral festoon, accented with twenty-one seed pearls across the flower and leaf designs.
A second feature collet set pear cut peridot drop suspends from a seed pearl decorated foliated setting accented with a paired leaf design to the lower portion.
The apex of the antique necklace features a round faceted peridot, millegrain decorated collet set amist further floral festoon designs, incorporating twenty further seed pearls.
The necklace is attached to a 15k yellow gold trace chain via two ring loops to either side of the feature setting; if required this wearing length could be extended with similar contemporary chain to either side of the catch, or replaced with a contemporary 18" chain.
The necklace is hallmarked to the reverse with the mark for 15k gold (15ct).
This antique gemstone pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

Condition
This impressive antique pendant is fine quality, set with impressive seed pearls and peridots displaying fine color, brilliance and presence. The pendant is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with a very clear hallmark to the reverse.
