An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Russian silver gilt and polychrome cloisonné enamel spoon; an addition to our Russian silverware collection. This exceptional antique Russian silver gilt and polychrome cloisonné enamel spoon has an oval shaped bowl onto an elongated stem. The reverse surface of the bowl is embellished with cloisonné scrolling foliate designs amidst bands of white bead decoration using various vibrant tones of green, blue and red sections of polychrome enamel, all on a matte gilt background. The enamel segments are encompassed with applied silver gilt paralleling rope twist ornamentation. The gilt stem of this enamel spoon features a segment of rope twist style ornamentation. This Russian spoon terminates with a blue toned cloisonné enamel decorated knopped hand piece encompassed with lozenge and floral motifs, in addition to a petal design encircling the plain finial. A Danish gilt sterling silver and enamel Christmas fork and spoon set from Anton Michelsen of Copenhagen, Denmark. Artist Ib Antoni (1929-1973) created this "Greenlander" design exclusively for the holiday season of 1969. The solid silver set is gold plated and decorated with colorful enamel work in yellow, blue, white, pale pink, and black. The pieces come from the collection and estate of the late American actress and singer, Rose Marie. Very good vintage condition with spots of tarnish and light wear to the gilt surfaces.
