About the Item

Mid-Century Modern natural maple platform slat bench by George Nelson for Herman Miller. This platform bench with finger-jointed wood base - remains as relevant today as it was in 1946, when George Nelson designed it. Nelson created its slatted top to discourage folks from sitting too long, but that touch also reduces the piece's visual bulk. Beautiful as a bench or as a coffee table with units able to be ganged together to create a larger surface whose natural wood variations are showcased. Dimensions: 72" x 19" x 14.75"
