Pair of Large Brass Good Luck Elephant Sculpture Figures Over 2ft Tall
By Sarreid Ltd.
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Exceptional pair of vintage large scale brass elephant sculptures. One is larger, one is slightly smaller but they both stand over 2 feet tall! Each elephant’s trunk reaching upward, a symbol of good luck. These are beautifully crafted with detail in the modeling. The artist took care to represent the folds in the ears, creases in the skin, and spine on the backs. Elephants are revered by many, but are considered sacred in Hindu and Buddhist religious. The raised trunks are said to bring prosperity and protection to those in their presence.

Original Oval Rattan 'Basket Clock' by George Nelson for Howard Miller, 1950s
By Irving Harper, Howard Miller, George Nelson
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Out of the 150+ designs created by George Nelson for Howard Miller, this Oval 'Basket' wall clock is one of the more rare editions. Small black circles mark the number positions around the oval, woven wicker-basket clock face. From the center, the long minute hand and the triangular hour hand, with thin contrasting pop of color red second hand, a beloved feature of George Nelson clock designs.
The wicker styling of this clock makes it extremely designer forward for current interior design trends. Consider pairing this in an interior with Franco Albini, Gabriella Crespi and other 20th Century Designers who incorporated wicker and rattan in their designs.
Designed by Irving Harper of George Nelson Associates and produced by Howard Miller, taken from his Wiki: Harper decided to create clocks that were a piece of sculpture. "To omit numbers and have an abstract object that moved on the wall was something no one was doing at the time". Harper was the principle designer of the iconic wall clocks...
