An Italian carved-wood bench with storage from the early 18th century. This antique bench from Italy has a flattened backside, with a curved/bowed (half-oval shape) front design with a double break-front step out flanking its center before rounding onto the sides. The case houses a pair of raised-panel doors at front, with a slender drawer above, and a second drawer positioned below the doors. There is hidden storage within this bench- please ask us for details on this before purchasing. The platform base is nicely molded and sits securely to the ground. A French carved and painted wood buffet console, with original marble top, from the 19th century. This antique cabinet from France features the original marble top, rectangular in shaped with rounded front corners, atop the wooden case which houses a pair of half-sized drawers set across the top, over a pair of nicely carved recess-panel doors, set within rounded front side posts (each carved with an elongated recessed panel). Both of the beautifully carved panel doors have curved top edges, each making up one half of a gently sloped arch, adding subtle fluidity to this piece. There are is a rectangular-shaped recessed panel at each chest side. The cabinet is raised on rounded feet at front (an extension of the front side posts) and squared feet at rear. The original merlot colored marble is complimented with a custom blue/gray finish with hints of cream and a taupe accent trim. Beautiful brass accents adorn the chest all down its front facade; from the foliate embellishments across the top and again at the bottom of the legs, the nicely decorated knob pulls and escutcheons on the drawer fronts, and finally the wrapped banding on the top and bottom of the columns. The marble is a medium gray with lighter and darker veining, which is a lovely contrast against the gorgeous fruitwood. A pair of painted wood chests from American furniture maker Kittinger Furniture. These vintage made-in-America chests each feature a rectangular-shaped top over a has which houses four graduated and dove-tailed drawers, set within canted and flute-carved front side posts. A petite beaded trim outlines the bottom perimeter of the chests, which are raised upon four bracket style feet, which give the otherwise linear skirt a bit of shape and interest. The upper drawers each have dividers for storage organization. Each drawer is fitted with its original heavy brass hardware pulls. The chests have a new custom pale blue finish, which still allows much of the wood grain to show through from beneath. This vintage pair of Kittinger chests (regarded by the White House as one of America's most foremost furniture makers) would make an excellent pair of bedroom dressers...

This antique table from Italy has clean, simple lines, and features a rectangular-shaped top, raised upon a pair of trestle sawhorse-style legs, with a wood brace supporting them just above the feet. The underside of the table is braced by a pair of hand-forged and twisted iron stretchers, which meet at the underside center of the top, creating visual interest and further embellishment to this piece. The walnut wood has has a warm patina with some cracks and prior repairs (see additional images) ; a reflection of it's history and age.
