About the Item

Florence Knoll - Sideboards, 1954 Indian Rosewood and Carrara Marble A rare pair of iconic sideboards designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll International in 1954, model 2544. Crafted from rich Indian rosewood and topped with elegant Carrara marble slabs, these pieces exemplify the refined, architectural minimalism of mid-century modern design. Florence Knoll approached furniture as structural elements within a space—"visual quiet" in her own words—and this philosophy is clearly reflected in the balanced proportions, premium materials, and impeccable craftsmanship. Both sideboards are in excellent condition and come with the original 1972 invoice. Dimensions: 48 x 189 and 95 x 65 cm [DxWxH]
