Donzella 20 Century Gallery has remained consistently dedicated to introducing the public to works by important Italian architects and designers who have often gone unnoticed in the 20th century design marketplace. It is in this spirit that the gallery presents its
next gallery exhibition, Italy Under The Radar. Italy Under The Radar focuses entirely on Italian design, while deliberately bypassing the iconic works that are more widely seen in books and at auction. Instead Donzella brings to light treasures heretofore unknown to most collectors, in an overview of works sought out and discovered through many years of extensive research.
In this exhibit Donzella offers an extraordinary collection of furniture and lighting in a wide range of price points. It is the gallery's intention with this exhibition to not only educate, but make these pieces accessible to both seasoned and new collectors alike. It has always been Paul Donzella's belief that many great works have gone unnoticed, only for lack of publicity. There are many exceptional architects and designers who had important commissions and were quite successful in their day. Unfortunately, in present day surveys of 20th century Italian design, many of these names have thus far gone unmentioned. It is the goal of Donzella to introduce a new crop of important designers and pieces to clients, collectors and admirers of 20th Century design, within the context of this breakthrough exhibition. A few of the featured architects include:
Melchiorre Bega
Mario Quarti
Cini Boeri
Giovanni Michelucci
Vittorio Gregotti
Fabio Lenci
