Original Charles & Ray Eames Herman Miller Upholstered Fiberglass Arm Chair

About the Item

Charles and Ray Eames DAX swivel padded arm shell chair in two-tone with dark gray exposed fiberglass shell. Rusty orange woven wool fabric cover, black piping, four-star aluminium base with casters. Retains remnants of original Herman Miller label. CPI stamp dates it from between 1974-1982. Quite good original vintage condition. The fabric has staining commensurate with age and use; has not been cleaned. Base has scuffs and wear. Charles Ormond Eames Jr. (June 17, 1907 – August 21, 1978) was an American designer, architect and filmmaker in professional partnership with his spouse, Ray Kaiser Eames, he was responsible for groundbreaking contributions in the field of architecture, furniture design, industrial design, manufacturing and the photographic arts.
