Are Dior accessories real gold?

Dior accessories are not usually real gold. Like other luxury fashion houses, Dior tends to use palladium or brass with a gold-toned finish for its belt buckles, bag hardware and other metal details on accessories. Compared to gold, these materials are often more resistant to scratching and wear and tear. For its high jewelry line, Dior does craft pieces out of genuine 18-karat gold.
