What is a brayer in art?
In art, a brayer is a printmaking tool. It consists of a rolling cylinder mounted on a metal frame attached to a handle. Printmakers use it to spread ink over a printing plate. You may sometimes see people refer to brayers as ink rollers or ink spreaders. Find a large selection of art prints on 1stDibs.
