What is a globe bar?

A bar globe, or globe bar, is essentially a bar cabinet that is tucked inside a world globe. The hinged design allows bottles and glassware to be hidden from sight beneath the curved top of the globe. Italo Zoffoli of the furniture company Zoffoli invented the bar globe in the late 1940s.
