What is Sharon Core famous for?
Sharon Core is famous for her photography and paintings. She is best known for producing a series of pieces that reimagine the artwork of other artists. Over the course of her career, her work has played off of Wayne Thiebaud's food paintings from the 1960s, the portraiture of 19th-century American painter Raphaelle Peale and the still lifes of 17th-century Dutch painter Otto Marseus van Schriek, among others.
