Where does Maw Sit Sit come from?

Northern Burma is where the gemstone maw sit sit or jade-albite can be found. This gem was first identified in 1963 and named after the village near where it was found. The bright green gem is often confused with jade, but maw sit sit is a metamorphic rock and not a mineral.
