Marwal statues were made in the USA. Their maker, Marwal Industries, opened its doors in Brooklyn, New York, during the 1960s. Founder Marcel Walters relocated his company to Hialeah, Florida, in 1976. In Florida, Walters began making the whimsical chalkware sculptures for which Marwal is best known.
