About the Artist:
Joanne attended the University of Pennsylvania where she studied as a photographer. She established a professional practice in studio photography in 2001, while her personal work began to explore the language of abstraction.
This continued exploration inspired a transition into painting. Handler enrolled at The Art Students League of New York, where she studied with Peter Golfonopoulos for three years. She is currently studying under James Little. She employs vibrant color and frenzied, gestural brushstrokes as a declaration of confidence and determination. Her layered compositions are built through the process of painting- embracing the accident and striving to create images that reflect the exhilaration and unbridled energy with which she moves through life.

Manhattan based mural and studio artist Tony “Rubin” Sjöman has painted all over the world and his works have been shown in galleries throughout the US and Europe.
Sjöman’s roots are in Finland and Sweden and he draws inspiration from his Scandinavian heritage for his complex abstract geometrical murals and studio works.
