About the Item

Pascal Jarrion was born in Perpignan, France, in 1961. It is a region known for its Catalan culture and an area that has influenced many artists before him including Picasso, Van Gogh and Maillol. After attending fine arts school at Les Beaux Arts de Perpignan, Pascal decided to take his love of art and tattooing to London where there were chances for a career which were not available in France at the time. He opened a small tattoo studio and spent the first six years refining his craft, always drawing and working from his own designs to try to give the customer something original and different. Slowly Pascal began to develop a style unusual in the tattoo industry--a mix of cubism, art deco and classical art--which has distinguished him in the field and earned him a worldwide clientele. Today, Pascal satisfies his creative energy by painting and sculpting which are his real passion. He enjoys working in many different mediums: oil on canvas, mixed media, ceramic sculptures with hand-painted, patinaed finishes, as well as bronze. This has led to exhibiting in group and solo shows internationally including: Quest for Impact – BTAG, Barcelona, 2002 Japan Je T’Adore – The Ghetto, Tokyo, Japan, 2008 Purity In Motion – Sacred Gallery, NYC, 2011 Beverly Hills Art Show, CA, 2012 JNA Gallery, Santa Monica, CA, 2014 Tattoo Art Today – Somerset House, London, 2014 Palm Springs Modernism Show, CA, 2023 Inspired by classic subjects such as the female nude, music and romanticism, his artworks strive to convey emotion and movement, breaking down forms and spatial relations. As he explains, “I’m always looking for the clarity of lines and how to capture light into the depth of volume, while trying to achieve a fusion of purity and complexity.” Since moving to Los Angeles in 2005 Pascal has been focusing more of his time on this first love which has resulted in the production of some of his finest work. His mission is to continue creating and exhibiting to take his artwork to the next level. description provided

  • Amy Christie, Pink Cyclamens on Lime Green, Original Bright Still Life Painting

Amy Christie Pink Cyclamens on Lime Green Original Still Life Painting Mixed Media on Canvas Canvas Size: H 50cm x W 50cm Framed Size: H 54cm x W 54 cm x D 3.5cm Framed in a White Wooden Handpainted Tray Frame Pink Cyclamens on Lime Green is an original mixed-media painting by Amy Christie. Painted in bright, vibrant colours with acrylics and mixed-media to achieve a textured surface on the canvas. Amy has used silverleaf on many parts of the composition plus a metallic glaze to highlight certain areas. The silverleaf and shimmering glaze catch the light beautifully, so this is a piece of artwork that changes depending on the time of day, the light in the room and the direction from which the painting is viewed… artwork that literally changes before your eyes. I’m a North-Norfolk based painter inspired by the joy and vibrancy of flowers. They are a great vehicle for colour and I thoroughly enjoy selecting, mixing and working into my paints to create a piece that sings. I aim to uplift the viewer with my artwork and feel that I have succeeded in my work if I bring about a smile, a feeling of peace or a moment where all that matters is the beauty of colour and form. I work in acrylics and use textures and glazes with multiple layers of colour to create interesting and exciting effects. Paint is partially removed and pulled back to reveal hidden colours and I often adorn the painting with gold- or silver-leaf to illuminate it even further. I also use antique wooden printing blocks...

  • Le Donne Magiche - Original Figurative Cubist Painting on Canvas
    By Alessandro Siviglia
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
In his abstract figurative work, internationally collected artist Alessandro Siviglia deconstructs everyday objects, landscapes, and human subjects into colorful geometric shapes in an attempt to represent their three-dimensional nature on a two-dimensional medium without using a naturalistic one-point perspective or shading. This technique translates into a visual language of perceiving the world around us with new emotions. Siviglia's cubist expressionist scenes often include people and small stray animals, which are used to reflect his concept of relativity with amalgams of time and place. This one-of-a-kind 27-inch high by 48-inch wide mixed media composition on canvas is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. The artist signed this original artwork on the front as well as on the back. The sides are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Alessandro Siviglia was born in Salerno, Italy in 1982. He immersed himself in art from an early age. Siviglia was initially drawn to street art, where he was able to express his artistic interests by graffiti writing on large public spaces using the alias CROW. After a 15 year stretch of taking a bold, guerrilla approach to art Siviglia began to create works on canvas that combine his street art background with more traditional artistic conventions. Much of his transformative inspiration stemmed from regularly visiting the Filiberto Menna Art Institute in Salerno. His modernist artworks...
