This small vertical 31 inch high by 23.5 inch wide original oil painting on canvas is wired and ready to hang. The detail in this artwork is astounding. From the gaze and makeup details around the eyes to the the ornate jewelry, Princess Julia is absolutely sublime. The sides of the artwork are not painted and it does not require framing. It is signed and titled by the artist on the back of the artwork British painter Georgina Clapham conspicuously engages with story telling and theatricality, drawing together Renaissance portraiture, Greek Mythology, folklore, mysticism, animals, nature, the artificial, high fashion, subculture, gender, identity and sexuality, in her meticulous life size figurative paintings.
