This is a heavy, impasto work done with palette knife and oil. It is both a celebration of texture and color in an attempt to bring vibrancy to the figure. Painted from a studio session with a lovely Eurasian model.
About the Artist
Patrick Soper paints works that explore line, texture and the female body. In his paintings, he explores the texture of paint and different color combinations. Many of his pieces mix flesh tones with other colors to add interest. When he's not making art, he enjoys traveling, fishing, reading, and going to outdoor music festivals.
