Robert Branham was an American artist and illustrator, born in 1926, in Louisville, Kentucky. From an early age, he was attracted to art, particularly the paintings of Degas. After attending the Art Institute of Cincinnati, he began his professional career as an illustrator, in Chicago. His work included important illustrations for Playboy magazine. He continued his long and varied career, by becoming an illustrator, consultant and conceptual design artist, for the motion picture industry. Later in life, he turned his attention to fine art paintings being exhibited and collected widely.

Robert Branham began his professional career as an illustrator in Chicago including important illustrations for Playboy magazine, and his continued into the Hollywood entertainment industry. In the later portion of his life, Robert Branham turned his artistic attention to creating fine art paintings and soon thereafter his work began to be exhibited.
