The Melodious Love, Acrylic on Canson Board by Contemporary Artist "In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Pradiptaa Chakraborty - The Melodious Love Acrylic on Canson Board, 5 x 6 inches, 2016 Will be shipped in a roll form. The current bunch of paintings mirrors this human Chinese Chequer , which moves about life as an unguided engine ramming into edifices indiscriminately. The paintings also depict the human scrambling for sensuality and gold – digging. The use of various colours, dark and light, in Pradiptta’s work symbolize the inner somberness and fakery. The interplay of mythical and supernatural machinery has been a significant form of artistic expression in the post – modern art arena and thus is interpreted as lending authenticity to the disarray and phantasmagoria in which man landed into. Style : Colours and semi realistic approach reflect the various images of life. Life is itself a kaleidoscope of fleeting images capturing the joys and disappointments of life. Life is a Juggler’s game whereby games are played out to veil the hidden instincts of human life. The conjurer on the road juggler his paraphernalia to entertain the spectators. Such a showmanship has become the grain of human existence. But now days it has turn to different parabola, all perspective are changing like some tsunami wave pass through of our modern civilization. Present impact of canvas is great drama going on. It is a arrested split second of mythical demonstration in modern apparel in post modern globe. Tries to decipher the mythological structures and traditions of Indian art, Characters from Indian mythico-religious tradition, Traditional commentary and background pigment give the proper optimistic pulsation which is very essential for painting’s vivacity. I want to establish extraordinary encounters, represented with the utmost precision which take place on the canvas and try to procure a wonderful hallucinatory quality in which the real and the imagined merge into one. About the Artist & his work : Born : 1979. Education : 2003 : BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS (B.F.A) in Graphics from Kala Bhavana, Vishva Bharati University, Shantiniketan, West Bengal. Cityscape, Acrylic on Canvas, Blue, Red, Yellow by Contemporary Artist"In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Tapas Ghosal - Untitled - 12 x 12 inches ( unframed size) ) Acrylic on Canvas , 2022 *** Framed ( packing : complimentary; shipping cost would need to be extra) Style : In Hindu philosophy, the 'Antahkaran' refers to the totality of two levels of mind , namely the Buddhi, the intellect or higher mind, and the Manas, the middle levels of mind which exist as or include the mental body. It refers to the entire psychological process, including mind and emotions. Ghoshal’s paintings weaves an Antahkaran, creating structural spaces, sometimes meditative & melancholic in nature. His contemplative mind, enters into the inner realm of reality, dissects it and extracts a kind of mystic silence. The extant contemplative in wardress in him got charged with meditative spirituality through his association with this heritage city. Benaras, started flowing in his canvasses both through landscapes and human faces. Since 1995-96 his Benaras paintings started transforming. Initially his landscapes contained reflection of naturalness transformed through melancholic chiaroscuro. Gradually the naturalness started disintegrating into expressionistic structures. At a certain stage during 2004-05 some of these structures yielded into abstractions shedding all the links with naturalness. Then again the sign-symbols integrated into geometrical structures reflecting traces of original locations. About the Artist and his works : Born : Born in 1965. Tapas spent his childhood and early youth in the quiet idyllic environment of rural Bengal. The soothing lyrical landscape and the intrinsic mythical past within the rural life made a great impact in his inner being, which aroused in him love for beauty, spiritual in nature, making him contemplative and inward looking. Educational Qualification : 1989 : Graduation in Painting from Govt.College of Art and Craft, Kolkata (First Class First) 1992 : Post Graduate in Painting from Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi (First Class). Super Hero's Bathroom, Acrylic on Canvas, Red, Blue, by Indian Artist "In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Farhad Hussain - Super Hero's Bathroom - 84 x 72 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas Inclusive of shipment in roll form. Style: Farhad Hussain's colourful work that includes drawings and watercolours besides paintings on canvas, features day to day visual experiences of middle-class urban India. He endows his narrative with iconography and personality through his figuration, their posturing, dress and the surrounding imagery. The drama of subtle complexities of human relationships and social environment are grounded with a sense of satire mixed with pathos. Farhad’s colours help enhance the brightness and aura of his paintings while he also partakes elements from traditions such as the formulaic textile patterns of Indian miniatures. His compositions are often set in a familiar drawing room or a social space, playing out with humour and sarcasm, the narrative psychologies of human life and encounters at various levels. This young artist who has also experimented with sculpture has already carved a niche and an instantly recognizable individualistic style befitting his aesthetics and concerns. Farhad has chosen to use tempera on cloth for his works, the media allowing him to achieve the desired vibrancy of colours. A slow build-up of images and spontaneous flow of colour while balancing colour and composition simultaneously follow structured formatting. This meticulous planning in the composition and layout is the beginning of a process from where onwards it is very spontaneous and intuitive. Another technique used throughout Farhad’s work is the method of applying the colour: dot-by-dot till the entire area is completely covered. Various elements from miniature paintings, Kalighat paintings, Japanese prints and images from mass media are scrutinized, transformed and transferred on to the surface through the artists own style of expression.
