A photographer and art director, Thomas Eigel brings an inspired eye to documentary arts. Imbuing his images of monumental structures with mesmerizing details, Eigel reminds us of how man is connected through machine. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Based in Germany, Thomas Eigel's work explores the universality of transportation. With a fresh perspective on recognizable forms, from airplanes to shipping containers, Eigel is inspired by how we are connected through mechanics and technology. PACKAGING: 30x40" and 40x60" prints are shipped in a special fortified tube to guard against bending or damage. Framed 30x40" prints are shipped via FedEx in a bespoke cardboard box with a fitted interior armature for the frame. We do not frame the extra large, 40x60" print sizes because they are too large to ship without risking damage. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We ship unframed prints internationally via DHL. The international shipping cost does not include the tax & duties, which will be the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time.

St. Regis River Grasses, New York, a large Cibachrome Direct Positive Photograph - 8"x10" Deardorff Camera using Positive Slide Film. Powerful Large Cibachrome Photograph of the St Regis River, Adirondacks, New York by Nathan Farb (American, B- 1941). Working with a large 8" x 10" View Camera Nathan began a journey to really photograph his home in the mountains is his own way, rich in vibrant with exceptional detail. Cibachrome prints are a type of dye destruction print that use a photographic process to create a full-color image. The process involves selectively bleaching away color dyes embedded in the paper. The dyes are contained within emulsion layers, which give the print its characteristic color saturation. The base is a polyester triacetate, rather than fiber-based paper, which adds to the print's longevity Image, 29"H x 37"W Sheet, 30"H x 40"W x .05 Unmounted and unframed. Can be shipped rolled. Includes book "The Adirondacks" which contains similar photographs by the artist. In 1981, Farb returned to his childhood home in the Adirondack Mountains to recharge himself, spending a lot of time in the woods. Over the next 20 years, he produced three books published by Rizzoli cataloguing many of his finest 8”x10” negatives. That work has been excerpted by close to 100 magazines including The NY Times Magazine. NY Times Magazine then sent him to document the Exxon oil spill and the Yellowstone Fires, and to the Galapagos Islands twice. Searching for both his past and future, Nathan Farb bought his first camera and started shooting on the streets of NYC’s Lower East Side in 1966.
