About the Maker - Barbara Heinrich grew up in Heilbronn, Germany, where she collected snail shells, dried noodles, and broken glass to cultivate her first jewelry collections. Selling her pieces on the streets of her hometown, Barbara knew that she would be designing for the rest of her life, as “the inspiration has always been with me.” After graduating with a master’s degree from RIT, she discovered a perfect balance between geometric lines and organic shapes, a balance that ultimately allowed her to “communicate with her viewers on a spiritual plane.” She never worries about running out of ideas, and only hopes that her creations “speak to you and that their beauty and uniqueness touch the beauty and uniqueness within you.” On display at the American Museum of Natural History...
