A scarcely seen matte green handled form from the Bybee Pottery in Lexington, KY between 1922-1929. This example is from the "Genuine Bybee" (tm) line. The partial paper label is a rare survivor. The matte glaze has a depth of surface and charcoaled appearance that results from a most successful microcrystalline glaze treatment. Most often... they simply don't look this good.
